Bar "Chaliapin"

"Chaliapin" — follower of the first cocktail bar in Moscow, which was opened in the Metropol Hotel. 

The bar is remembered for its historical atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century, as well as Russian gastronomic traditions. Only here you can order a tasting of Russian tinctures or testing of an old Russian "vodka" — polugar. Bartenders will prepare cocktails of any complexity, including those according to the Metropol Hotel's own recipe. Menu of author's cocktails "Chaliapin Opera" and "Legends of the Metropolis" in the form of tarot cards. Try the Master and Margarita cocktail, the recipe of which is inspired by the famous work of Mikhail Bulgakov, in which, by the way, the Metropol Hotel is mentioned. Or enjoy one of the drinks inspired by the famous novel "A Gentleman in Moscow".

Daily from 10 am to 12 am, a traditional Russian tea ceremony is served in the bar, tincture tastings are held.

"Chaliapin" open to guests and as a cozy place for a gourmet breakfast, lunch or dinner in a business setting. The author of all dishes in the menu — brand chef of METROPOL Hotel Moscow Andrey Shmakov. The menu is designed in such a way that each guest can enjoy familiar European dishes in the original version and traditional Russian dishes.

Please note: Due to additional security measures due to the evolution of the COVID-19 situation, some changes have been made to the hotel's operations. The hotel is closely following the whole set of measures recommended by the government: upon entering the hotel, guests are requested to undergo a temperature measurement procedure, it is recommended to keep a distance of 1.5-2 meters and use personal protective equipment. Disposable gloves and masks are available at the hotel reception.
