Starting from September 1, 2026, AZIMUT City Hotel St.Petersburg will allow citizens of the Russian Federation to check in using a Digital ID in the MAX messenger.

To do this, you will need a verified photo. You can take it if you have registered biometrics, a valid foreign passport, or a driver’s license.

The service is available only to Russian citizens. Foreign citizens must present original documents in paper form.

For children: if the child is under 14 years old, the parent’s profile must include the birth certificate data.

If a child is traveling alone (14–18 years old), they can use their Digital ID, but written consent from their parents will be required to check into the hotel.

If for some reason the app doesn’t work and there is no paper copy of the identity document, the hotel has the right to refuse check‑in.

Legal basis: Clauses 18–20 of the Rules for Providing Hotel Services and Services of Other Accommodation Facilities in the Russian Federation, approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1912 dated 27.11.2025, as amended by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 674 dated 02.06.2026 “On Amendments to Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1912 dated 27 November 2025”.
