Limpopo Zoo
The first private zoo in Russia, which has been operating in Nizhny Novgorod for 20 years. Today, it is home to about 270 species of animals, including capybara, paragonic marah, alpaca, lowland tapir, musk ox, pygmy marmosets, jaguar, serval, nose-horned mole, caracal and, of course, the public favorite — giraffe Rainbow.
In addition to animals and birds, the zoo has a unique tropical botanical garden. It is part of the Amazonia complex, which features over 260 species of tropical flowers, shrubs, and trees from exotic countries.
The zoo also offers amusement rides, a retro car exhibition, and the Back to USSR Museum of History and Everyday Life, which features over 10,000 exhibits.
Switzerland Park
In 2024, it was recognized as one of the best parks in Russia. The park covers an area of 380 hectares and stretches along the high bank of the Oka River for three and a half kilometers.
Here, you can walk, play sports, relax with children, listen to music, dance, sing, read books, sunbathe, watch the stars in the Planetarium and squirrels in the trees, try a variety of cuisines, and admire the Oka River from the high bank.
Children will definitely be interested in the many playgrounds, wooden feeders with treats for squirrels, and Insect Hotels where insects can overwinter and stay safe.
Oceanis Water Park
The vast area of the indoor water park is divided into different spa and water entertainment areas, including 17 slides, of which 8 are designed specifically for children. Here, visitors can experience the thrill of the King Cobra ride, ride a giant funnel with a gushing stream of water, slide down an open slide with a spaceship design, or race down twisted spiral slides.
The whole family can relax in the wave pool, which simulates a storm every 60 minutes, or in the peaceful atmosphere of the Lazy River. For younger children, there is the Frog Pond, and for older children, there is the Jungle Entertainment Complex, which features a giant crocodile that periodically turns over a large barrel of water.
Koleso-NiNo Ferris Wheel
The attraction is equipped with 18 comfortable closed booths, as well as an exclusive VIP cabin and a bright themed cabin from the VK Clips platform, attractive for young video bloggers due to excellent opportunities for shooting content.
Rising to a height of 50 meters, tourists enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the picturesque landscapes of Nizhny Novgorod: the Volga River, the suspended cable car, the sports springboard.
Next to the wheel, there is a cozy coffee shop offering a variety of treats such as sweets and drinks, and an innovative cyber cafe has opened nearby, featuring a robotic character named Dunyasha who can tell children stories, play music, and take photos.
Ariel Glass Christmas Tree Toy Factory
The Ariel factory, founded in 1996, continues the traditions of the Gorky Children's Toy Artel, which was established in 1936. A festive New Year's mood reigns here all year round, regardless of the season.
During a factory tour, you will visit the glass-blowing workshop and see the fascinating process of making Christmas tree toys. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a painting workshop, where you can decorate a toy yourself and take it home as a pleasant souvenir. The factory has a museum dedicated to the history of the Nizhny Novgorod Christmas tree ornament and a branded store where you can buy a Nutcracker figurine or a symbol of the coming year.
Special attention should be paid to the spectacular retro Christmas tree decorated with nostalgic toys from the Soviet period.
