Bioimpedansometry (BIM) is a method for determining body composition based on measuring the electrical resistance of body tissues when an electric current passes. Bioimpedance analysis of body composition allows you to study the characteristics of lipid and water-salt metabolism, determine the proportion of fat and muscle tissue, and understand the causes of excess body weight. The method is based on measuring the resistance of body tissue to the passage of electric current, followed by computer processing of the data.
