On April 25 and 26, Moscow will host the 11th Moscow Half Marathon — one of the country’s largest running events. AZIMUT Hotels is a long-standing partner of the annual event. During the race weekend, the company’s branded activations will be set up in the start areas, while AZIMUT Hotels support teams will cheer on athletes along the routes. The races will follow a route passing Moscow’s iconic landmarks, including AZIMUT City Hotel Smolenskaya.

The Moscow Half Marathon brings together thousands of people who share a passion for running. Many of them are regular guests of AZIMUT Hotels properties across Russia. The chain’s sanatoriums offer specialized recovery programs for athletes, its park hotels often serve as training bases, while its city properties provide a convenient place to stay while traveling.

For nine years, AZIMUT City Hotel Smolenskaya Moscow has been creating comfortable conditions for athletes preparing for the capital’s major running events. This season, the flagship hotel has also prepared personalized gifts for returning race participants and decorated rooms with photos of athletes, evoking the victories and emotions of previous races.

On April 25, the first AZIMUT Hotels activation will open in the start area on the grounds of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Participants will be welcomed by a vibrant hot-air-balloon-themed photo zone, symbolizing the pursuit of new sporting horizons. Guests will be able to sample aromatic teas and embark on a small gastronomic journey through Russia’s natural landmarks. Participants will also have a chance to win hotel stay certificates and discover new cities through a real journey. Those joining the AZIMUT Bonus loyalty program for the first time will receive 5,000 bonus points from the hotel chain, which can be redeemed for new experiences.

Guest activities will continue on Sunday at the second AZIMUT Hotels activation. As usual, the hotel chain’s branded tent will open at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. A DJ and host will join the entertainment program, while guests can win prizes from AZIMUT Hotels and its partners by taking part in the “Lucky Kilometers” game. A cozy outdoor lounge area and tea bar will be available throughout the day, while an improvised photo finish will give participants a chance to capture the emotions of the race.

Maxim Brodovsky, CEO of AZIMUT Hotels:

“The Moscow Half Marathon has long grown beyond the boundaries of a sporting event. Today, it is a gathering point for people who have chosen a healthy and active lifestyle. We are proud that AZIMUT Hotels continues to support participants on their journey toward personal achievements. Our goal is to provide athletes with comfortable conditions for preparing for city races and recovering at our sanatoriums.”
