The exhibition aims to introduce tourists to forgotten chapters of Yaroslavl aviation history and encourages them to visit significant aviation sites in the region: Levtsovo, Karachikha, and Tunoshna.

The exhibition is centered on rare artifacts:

  • archival photographs of the former Levtsovo Airport,
  • personal belongings,
  • documents, books, maps,
  • aircraft models,
  • authentic onboard equipment.

With particular pride, the organizers present excerpts from a previously unpublished work by a famous Yaroslavl writer, which details the city's residents' first encounters with aviation and outstanding Russian pilots of the early 20th century.

Due to collaboration with the Yaroslavl branch of the Russian Military Historical Society, the exhibition includes valuable materials telling the story of the life and exploits of Leonid Efimov, one of the pioneers of Yaroslavl aviation. The Yaroslavl Aviation Training Center "Karachikha" provided visitors with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a real flight, offering an interactive exhibit of the cockpit of the legendary Mi-2 helicopter.

A separate section is dedicated to unknown facts from the history of the local military and civilian airfields "Dyadkovo" and "Tunoshna", presented thanks to activists of the "Yaroslavl Aviator" historical club, which unites veterans and current employees of the aviation industry.

The exhibition location itself is also unusual – This is not a traditional museum space, but a hall of the AZIMUT Hotel Yaroslavl, a hospitable partner of the project.
