On May 21, 2021, the Russian hotel chain AZIMUT Hotels introduced the new four-star AZIMUT City Hotel Tula, located in the Museum Quarter, close to the main attractions of the historical city center.

Guests can choose from 44 rooms, including Standard Attic Rooms, or Standard classic or balcony rooms with either one double bed or two twin beds, Classic and Attic Junior Suites, Suites, accessible rooms for guests with limited mobility, and separate Connecting Rooms for families. The first floor of the hotel features a fully equipped conference hall for 50 people, a lobby bar, and a gastronomic restaurant serving Russian cuisine.

AZIMUT City Hotel Tula 4* is the newest hotel that combines modern technology and design with the historical essence and spirit of the region. The interior was specifically designed by Anastasia Leonova and Valeria Kruglova, with the aim of creating an intimate yet recognizable and vibrant hotel filled with national character. The decor reflects artisanal and folk motifs, incorporating symbols of the Tula region, while folkloric elements are integrated into a contemporary space.

Maxim Brodovsky, General Director of AZIMUT Hotels, stated: “We were the first among major international hotel operators to enter cities like Vladivostok, Murmansk, Yakutsk, and Kyzyl—all of these hotels have become leaders in their local markets showing very good results. The convenient locations in each city where we operate are one of the main advantages of AZIMUT Hotels and an important factor for most travelers. We are pleased that a new modern hotel in Tula will join the AZIMUT Hotels network. I am confident that AZIMUT City Hotel Tula will become an important part of the city's tourist and business infrastructure.”

The opening of AZIMUT City Hotel Tula is a logical continuation of the city's infrastructure development, which has been successfully ongoing for the past few years. In 2020, events were held in the Tula region to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the construction of the Tula Kremlin, marking the beginning of the creation of the Great Defensive Line. As part of the preparations for the celebration, large-scale restoration and improvement works were carried out by the regional and city administrations, along with the opening of new museum spaces in Tula and small towns along the Great Defensive Line.
