The monument, towering in Kuzbass, is a majestic copy of the famous monument to the Liberator Soldier in Berlin, in Treptower Park. The majestic soldier, cutting the swastika with a sword, holds a child in his arms, symbolizing courage and heroism, which are known throughout the world.
What you will see when visiting the memorial complex:
- Sculpture of the Liberator Soldier. The height of the sculpture with the mound is an impressive 37 meters, and about 30 tons of metal and 26 tons of bronze were used to make the monument.
- Memorial hall. Inside the base of the monument there is a mosaic canvas made of smalt, supplemented by fragments related to the history of
- Kuzbass during the Great Patriotic War.
